In the inaugural episode of the The Bad Crypto Podcast, Futurist Joel Comm and Technologist Travis Wright discuss why they decided to create a show around cryptocurrency.
They believe cryptocurrency is about hit the masses and that most podcasts and shows around the topic is for experts and the technically savvy. This podcast is for those who are just learning about crypto and want to ramp up their knowledge base with Joel and Travis.
Are blockchain, cryptocurrency, and digital payments foreign terms to you? Well, Joel and Travis dissect those as we begin the journey in crytpocurrency, blockchain, bitcoin, litecoin, ethereum, alt-coins, token generation events, ICOs and other words that Joel and Travis didn’t really understand a couple of months ago.
We aren’t experts, nor are we financial advisors. So, take what we say with a grain of salt because this podcast about crypto is bad.

Awesome bleeding edge discussion about true Mad Money. My entry into cryptocurrency are the coins I earn on the Words With Fruends app. I can use them to buy game “cheats” and nothing else. But could I trade my WWF coins to another player for a fraction of a bitcoin?
Great to hear your voices! Got a lot out of it!
Glad to see your words, Walter! Thanks for the comment!
I’ll be watching…
Hey guys, thanks for the podcast. I have been posting my art on Steemit.com which pays users for posting and commenting by a cryptocurrency called, what else, Steem!
It is a blockchain platform and is growing exceedingly quickly.
You guys might want to look into it at least for some talking points, if not to use if you are not on there yet.
There is a waiting list to be able to get an account, but like I said it’s growing fast! Sorta like G+ was in the early days, remember that??
I just added my feed from Steemit to my website if you want to look.
Cheers
Okay, if you wanna see some really interesting technology, look into the NEM blockchain and it’s white paper. Would like to hear your thoughts around it.
Newbie here. Thanks for starting out very basic. I like that you aren’t experts and that we’re learning this together. Please keep speaking English. ? I have a basic takeaway and a question. Takeaway: virtual currency has value because there are enough people who agree that it has value. (Just like gold) As long as people are willing to part with their dollars for bitcoins or other crypto, it has value. If we someday don’t feel that it has value, it won’t. Do you agree? Question: the limited amount of bitcoins seems to be an important ingredient in what makes it valuable. So if there are suddenly hundreds of other crypto currencies, does bitcoin lose value? I mean, if anyone can create new crypto, doesn’t that devalue all other crypto – isn’t that a lot like printing new $100 bills? Please straighten me out if I’m off base here. Thanks!
