Titus: The God of the Digital World

Titus: The God of the Digital World

Apollo, Prometheus, Zeus, Titus. Three of these are Greek gods. One of them is a god of the digital world. That would be Titus. I mean, did Zeus found uber-successful digital ad agencies, Razorfish and Schematic? Did Apollo sit on the board of Samsung? Did Prometheus steer the digital transformation of the BBC? Nope. Titus did that.

And today he joins us to discuss his involvement in the crypto and blockchain world. A visionary with a stellar track record, Titus has some important things to say. And besides, Zeus wasn’t available today.

What would our names be if we were Greek gods? I’m Satoshus, the God of Bad Dad jokes (and I’m Cannabus, the God of Ganja), and this is episode #340 of The Bad Crypto Podcast.

I infuse teams with diverse and bold viewpoints that spark innovation and disruption. As a tech-native executive, I’ve launched two of the world’s largest digital advertising agencies—Razorfish & Schematic—and led a series of multiplatform technology and media businesses, from startups to global enterprises like Samsung, where I was the sole non-Korean “board room” executive in Korea.

I have steered the digital transformation of two of Great Britain’s leading media organizations—the BBC and Associated Northcliffe—accelerating growth while preserving profitability and reinvented other firms into prolific, profitable, and award-winning industry leaders. One common thread of these achievements was the introduction of scaled design thinking and consumer experience as critical competencies for engineering, financial services, media, and technology enterprises.

The foundation of my success is the people I lead, and I’m committed to cultivating dynamic cultures that promote women and other minorities to leadership roles, with a focus on building enclaves that reward success and honor and study failure as a springboard for learning.

They help nonprofits get equipped to accept crypto donations and get them linked up with top projects in the space.

We’re also happy to introduce you to Justin Simpson, a community member at a cool new blockchain project called Ergo. This new crypto is mineable, ASIC resistant and making some bold moves.

So let’s do good stuff and learn about good blockchains right now on episode #276 of The Bad Crypto Podcast.

They use their knowledge-base to help nonprofits leverage the power of the cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, while growing cryptocurrency adoption in the process.

Feature: Justin Simpson of ErgoPlatform.org

Justin Simpson is based in Hong Kong where he has lived for over 15 years. He has 13 years of Investment Banking experience and has been involved with crypto and Bitcoin since mid-2013. Exclusively focused on crypto over the past 2 years and is most passionate about open, permissionless and decentralized blockchain platforms.

Beginning more than ten years ago with Bitcoin, blockchain technology has so far proved to be a secure way of maintaining a public transaction ledger and disintermediating trusted third parties such as traditional financial institutions to some degree. However, whereas many teams have claimed to implement the next revolutionary blockchain, they also typically break at least one of the fundamental properties of blockchain technology that make it so powerful.

In contrast, Ergo platform absorbs ready-to-use ideas, that are well-tested and formalized in scientific papers. Its primary focus is to provide an efficient, secure and easy way to implement financial contracts that will be useful and survivable in the long term. Finally, Ergo is a self-amendable protocol, that allows it to absorb new ideas and improve itself in the future in a decentralized manner.
